Google has opened its AdSense and Adwords, its two advertisement products to more Indian languages. Today Google opened Telugu languages support for the two products. This will allow content developers and publishers to tap the unfolding opportunity in digital advertisements. Earlier it was for Hindi Bengali and Tamil for the advertisement platforms.
The digital advertising spends in the country is to grow to the tune of 4.4 billion dollars by 2021 from the existing 2 billion dollars. Google today conducted a meeting of the bloggers, publishers and content developers at its Telugu launch meet to support the advertisement products.
The users of Telugu Internet is expected to touch 91 million and there is a huge demand for the content developers. The non- English market is massive. Now most of the users are coming in the non-English category.
But as of now, there is a scarcity for the content in local languages as it is not being commercialised in a systematic manner.
