The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC), Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), in partnership with GEF Small Grants Programme (SGP) is conducting a video competition, “2019 Global Youth Video Competition” which is the fifth edition.
In this year’s edition, young people from all around the world are encouraged to showcase their talents, creativity and express their ideas in the form of a 3 minute video, under three themes which are follows,
∙Nature-based Solutions for Food and Human Health
∙Cities and Local Action to Combat Climate Change
∙Nature- based solutions to balance the use of land for people.
The participants must be between the ages of 18 and 30 and the videos should be submitted by 28th July, 2019. Under each category, one winner will be selected and the three winners will be invited to attend the UN Climate Change Conference (COP25) in Santiago, Chile, in December 2019, where the winning videos will be screened. The entries are to be submitted online at their website (biomovies.tve.org).
