The Minister for Finance Harish Rao was in Delhi for participating in the discussion for the annual budget to be presented in February by the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Seetharaman.
Harish Rao suggested that the Centre must allocate funds for the Kaleshwaram which was done by the state with a budget of around one lakh crore.
The NREGS scheme must be attached to the agriculture department he opined. Harish suggested that around 450 crore should be allocated for the development of backward areas in the state of Telangana.
The centre must come forward for setting up of an integrated steel plant here in Telangana Harish suggested. The Union Minister for Finance Nirmala Seetharamn has reviewed the GST situation in the states.
There was no hint if the GST would be hiked after the review by the Union Minister.harihs made it crystal clear that there is every need for reviewing the states share in terms of allocations. He also suggested the Amnesty scheme for the states in terms of paying the taxes.
