10,116 tulsi plants were given to the devotees by “Green India Challenge” during the celebration of Tholi Ekadashi (first Ekadashi) in the Rukmini Sametha Panduranga Vithala temple at Pandaripuram on the banks of Bhima river in Solapur district of Maharashtra.
Rajya Sabha MP and Green India Challenge founder Joiginpally Santosh Kuma said that he felt happy to follow the laws of nature and nature conservation in accordance with the sayings of Sant Tukaram Maharaj “Abhyangas”.
The devotees would reach
Pandari Pur from different places following the 13th century old tradition of “Varkari” on Tholi Ekadashi with Thulasimala to offer prayers to Rukmini Samathe Panduranga Vitthala.
RS MP was delighted to present 10,116 saplings to the devotees who came to offer prayes.
“Green India Challenge” founder member Sanjeevolla Raghava, Purna, Gnaneshwar and others participated in this program.
So far crores of saplings were planted under GIC.
