GIC joins IT for Swacchata

The Department of Income Tax, Hyderabad, took a significant step towards fostering a cleaner and healthier India by organizing the “Swachhata Hi Seva – Garbage Free India” Campaign at Shanthi Nagar Park, Masab Tank. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about the crucial importance of maintaining clean surroundings to mitigate the spread of diseases such as malaria and dengue.

The event witnessed active participation from the dedicated Income Tax Officers of Hyderabad City, who not only supported but also encouraged individuals to play their part in keeping their environment clean and tidy. The officers served as role models in advocating for cleaner surroundings, highlighting the profound impact of cleanliness on public health and overall well-being.

In a heartening gesture of support, Mr. Karunakar Reddy of the “Green India Challenge,”GIC- joined hands with the Income Tax Officers to promote a plastic-free environment. As part of the Green India Challenge 6.0 theme, “Plastic Free India,” Mr. Reddy distributed eco-friendly Jute Bags to esteemed guests and participants. This act not only underscored the importance of reducing plastic usage but also encouraged responsible alternatives that are kinder to our planet.
