GHMC with Surmandal for Guldasta Musical

Arvind Kumar,IAS., Principal Secretary to Govt.(MA&UD) said that Government of Telangana and GHMC in collaboration with Surmandal, a Cultural organization is presenting “GULDASTA” a musical program on Sunday the 7th March at the Historic Moazamjahi market.

GULDASTA program is organized to pay tribute to Late Mr.B.P. Singh, the Ex Director of VST Industries, Hyderabad who played vital role in spreading art and culture throughout the country. He passed away last week in Delhi due to cancer.

Ms Vibha Hegde, a young talented Hindustani classical vocalist along with Shri Arnab Bhattacharya who will be performing on Sarod. Ms Poorva Guru who will present famous Sufi and Ghazals.

Surmandal is a music organization blessed by Late Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan sahib in 1960s. He migrated to India from Pakistan during partition and made Hyderabad his permanent home.

Surmandal is the only music circle having completed 52 years in enriching music. Surmandal has featured almost all the top artists of our country and also giving a platform to budding young musicians to find a stage.

Surmandal organization have received sponsorships in the past from ITC, VST and Rithwik foundation to carry on and contributing immensely to cater the needs of the music fraternity of the twin cities.
