The stage is set for the GHMC elections. State election commissioner Parthasarathy is all set to announce the schedule for the Municipal elections.
The Nominations may begin from 18nth that is Wednesday. The polling could be in the first week of December. TRS is already ready by giving various sops to the voters in the city.
They have already distributed the Rs10000 to majority of their voters. The distribution is going on in the name of flood relief. The BJP is also equally getting ready for the Municipal polls and the central leadership has already appointed central leaders for overseeing the election here in Hyderabad.
It is going to be a tough fight between the BJP and TRS this time. Last time TRS could win 100 seats easily under the leadership of KTR and Srinivas Yadav. But this time it is not that easy.
There is some anti-incumbency against the ruling party in Telangana. But KCR andKTR together can manage the show. They have already reduced the property tax by 50 percent in the name of Corona and floods in the city.
The TRS may not get 100 seats, but it will win the Mayor post along with the MIM. It is difficult to disturb the MIM from the Old city. They will get most of the seats that they are holding as of now.
Overall it is going to be an interesting election this time.
