The Assembly gate which was closed by the YSRC Government with a wall was opened by the NDA Government today. A wall was constructed with a sentry post so that the farmers will not break into the Assembly premises.
The speaker of the house, Ayyannapatrudu ordered the demolition of the wall and sentry point in front of the second gate and it was dismantled completely. Now the second gate is open for the public into the Assembly.
Earlier, the Jagan government had enforced this wall specifically to stop Amaravati farmers from entering the assembly premises further to showcase their protest. This was enforced by the then CM Jagan Mohan Reddy despite the backlash.
However, the new government was quick to act on this matter as the wall was demolished with a bulldozer. This could be a clear signal that the new TDP+ government has a “pro-public” approach .
At the same time the road closure in front of Jagan’s house has also been opened for the regular public. The people on the other hand have demolished and removed many closures in front of the former Minister’s bungalows for the regular flow of the public.
