London celebrated its consecutive 6th year of Ganesh Chaturthi, ended with the traditional immersion of the idol in the Thames.

The festivities culminated with a colourful procession through the London streets and echoed with “Ganapathi Bappa Moriya” and “Ganesh Maharaj ki Jai”.

They enjoyed music, traditional food and children’s events, alongside hymns and prayers during the celebrations at London.

Hundreds looked on there as a statue of Lord Ganesha, a many-armed god with the head of an elephant, was dunked in the Thames in what is known as the Visarjan ceremony.

HYFY President Ashok Dusari & Core Members Malla Reddy, Rathnakar, Naveen Reddy, Satya & Satyapal expressed their happiness for the successful celebrations and to see all the Indians united at one place, such occasions will bring us together and maintain the brotherhood among us.

Lord Ganesh “Laddu” was auctioned before the procession, which this year fetched GBP 802 and won by local NRI Dhanjunjay (DJ), everyone believe that winning this laddu will bring good luck and prosperity in their life.

NRI TRS UK & HYFY President Ashok Dusari, NRI TRS Ex-President and TAUK Founder Anil Kurmachalam, TAUK President Pavithra Kandi along with their family members and performed special rituals, Reddy, Dharma Murra, Cherry, Raj Manam & Kishore were among those participated in this event in organising and making it successful.
