Ganesha is in every Galli across the country and especially in the Telugu states. Even kids have set up pandals for the Ganesha. Some will be keeping it for three days, while some others will worship it for five days.
The Nimajjan procession will be on the ninth of this month and all roads lead to Tanbund or Vinayak Sagar. The Maha Ganapathi at Khaitratabad was made of clay for the first time and they say it costed around a crore.

There was a protest at the Lord Ganesha in Khairtabad seeking the release of BJP leader Raja Singh. The police later dispersed the agitators. Governor Tamilisai performs the pooja at Bada Ganesh. Governor Bandaru Dattatreya also performed pooja here along with his daughter.
The BJP leaders are expected to participate in the Nimajjan process in a big way. More than five thousand police drawn from various sources have been deployed to the Ganesh bundobust this time.
Overnight vigil is being observed at the Ganesh Pandals to avoid untoward incidents. The old city is under police vigil taking the Raja Singh incident into serious account.
The BJP cadres and leaders have been advised to take part in the Ganesh Shoba yatra in a big way in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana for the same of coming elections.
