The Honourable Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Sri Nitin Gadkari offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala during the early hours on Thursday.
The Hon’ble Union Minister was accorded a grand reception by TTD JEOSri Veerabrahmam and temple priests and escorted him to the sanctum sanctorum.
After darshan, he was offered Vedasirvachanam by Vedic pundits at Ranganayakula Mandapam. Later the JEO presented Theertha Prasadams,photo of Srivaru to the dignitary.
TTD clarified that the most sacred Srivari Laddu Prasadam are being prepared only by Sri Vaishnava Brahmins since several centuries and appealed to the devotees not to be carried away by false news.
The TTD said that legal action will be taken against those who spread false propaganda about Srivari laddus on social media platforms.
In Laddu Potu as many as 980 Hindus are working at present and are performing the pious duties assigned to them since time immemorial.
Among them, Sri Vaishnava Brahmins are being engaged in collecting the raw materials used to prepare Laddus and they alone make laddus. While others are engaged in the transportation of laddus, storage, cleaning activity of Potu, and various other duties in laddu counters.
TTD said false propaganda is being spread on the social media platform that Srivari Laddu Prasadas are being prepared under the direction of a contractor named Sri. Thomas which is absolutely false and baseless.
TTD appeals to the devotees not to believe such fake propaganda coming in some social media outlets.
