Fuel prices were reduced for the third day but the cut was marginal again.
Petrol prices were cut by 6 paise a litre while diesel became cheaper by 5-6 paise per litre across the country.
After today’s prices cut, petrol was retailing at Rs 78.29 in the national capital, Rs 86.10 in Mumbai, Rs 80.92 in Kolkata and Rs 81.28 in Chennai.
Similarly, diesel after today’s revision was priced at Rs 69.20 in Delhi, Rs 73.67 in Mumbai, Rs 71.75 in Kolkata and Rs 73.06 in Chennai.It may be noted that the fall in fuel prices has come after 16 straight hikes in which petrol became costlier by Rs 3.8 per litre and diesel by Rs 3.38.
In comparison to that, in the last three days including today, petrol became cheaper by 14 paise only.
