There is every possibility of dissolving the Karnataka Assembly as the MLAs from the Congress and also JD(s) have resigned. Ten MLAs who have resigned from the Congress party are now camping in a hotel at Mumbai.
They are waiting for the Speaker to approve the resignations. While the Congress blamed the BJP and Siddharamiah for the crisis, BJP Spokesperson said that it is the internal conflict and incompetence of the Congress party in Karnataka.
The coalition government is set to collapse in the next two day with 10 more people from Congress getting to resign for the party. Senior leader Mallikahrjun Kharge said that he has to look into the issue and then will be able to comment on it.
As of now one number if less for the said magic figure for the ruling coalition. If some more MLAs resing then the Kumar Swamy Gowda government will collapse.
BJP is the single largest party in the Karnataka Assembly as things stand. There is a chance that the Assembly could be dissolved and there might be fresh elections for the Karnataka Assembly. Meanwhile, CM Gowda is in the United States and is rushing to Karnataka at the earliest possible.
