The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a fresh case against business tycoon Vijay Mallya after a complaint by the State Bank of India in connection with loan default, an official said on Saturday.“We have registered a case against Mallya on the complaint of SBI,” a CBI official told .
Mr. Mallya flew to London on March 2, 2016, just days before a consortium of lenders knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court to recover Rs. 9,431.65 crore in loan and interest.There are several cases against him and he is absconding in the name of being an NRI.
He is also having a case in Hyderabad and Mallya did not attend to the case so far. He has been postponing the same from time to time.
