Rahul Bojja, Principal Secretary, SCDD, Christina Z Chongthu, Commissioner, Tribal Welfare and Ronald Rose, Secretary, TSWREI & TTWREI Societies held discussions with a French delegation led by Thierry Berthelot, Consul General of France; Samuel Berthet, Director, Alliance Francaise, Gerard Francois Inizan, Director, Safran Aircraft Engines Pvt. Ltd; and Germain Araud, Director, Monin India Pvt. Ltd., on student exchange programs, industry specific skill development programs, French language training programs, industrial exposure visits and global employment opportunities for students of social and tribal welfare residential educational institutions.
Ronald Rose, Secretary of TSWRE and TTWREI Societies said that the main purpose of the meeting with French delegation was to expose students to global workplace culture, Universities and international industrial standards, so that marginalized students could aspire to secure opportunities at a global level.
Secretary Ronald Rose further said, “this is the first of its kind initiative in the country between the government welfare educational institutions and global corporations while thanking the chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for his vision for the career progress of marginalized students.
There is a need for up-skilling and nurturing talent of the underprivileged students for the 21st century jobs and we are making outreach efforts to global corporations, said, Secretary.
Thierry Berthelot, Consul General of France, expressed his country’s willingness to create a skilled human resource through student internship programs, skill development programs and industrial exposure visits involving students of social and tribal welfare residential educational institutions.
