The Supreme court today demanded and explanation from the former CBI interim Chief Nageshwar Rao for not investigating the case of abuse and rape of Children at the shelter homes run by the Bihar Government. The Supreme Court opined that Nageshwar Rao has committed contempt and he must explain on that. It may be noted that when the issue of CBI chief Alok Varma and his transfer were going on, the BJP Government has brought in Nageshwar Rao as the Interim chief overnight and he transferred other officials left and right.

You have played with our orders. It is contempt and God help you stated the Chief Justice Gogoi. It has to be seen who will save Nageshwar Rao now. The Government pleader did not give proper answers over this issue. The CJI was not satisfied and said that God must help Nageshwar Rao for the contempt. He opined that the interim CBI former chief has not implemented the court orders and also ignored the orders. The court directed not to transfer the CBI joint director, but Nageshwarrao did that which amounts to contempt.
