A lady forest range officer Anitha was injured in the attack by the tribals. The tribals of Asifabad attacked the forest ranger and her staff with a stick and her finger was broken in the attack. The forest staff went into the land with tractors for doing plantations under Haritha Haram with a tractor.
The tribals opposed the Haritha Haram program and drove away from the staff and also the tractors. Koneru Koneppa the ZP Vice Chairman is said to be behind the attack on the forest ranger. Koneru Krishna participated in the attack with a bamboo stick.
The forest ranger was attacked when she stood in front of the tractor driver to protect him from the attack. FRO Chole Anitha was rushed to the local hospital and admitted for treatment.
The locals attacked the range officer in uniform along with other staff with Bamboo sticks. The incident occurred in Kagaznagar mandal. Forest ranger was seen weeping on the stretcher after the attack. The other men police just witnessed the attack in silence when the women range officer was attacked by bamboos by the tribals.
