It is not right on the part of Lokesh the son of CM,AP and his government to arrest a cartoonist like Ravi Kiran. Finally they bowed to netizens demand and released Kiran in the morning. As an MLC Lokesh went to Elders house and the same was made as a cartoon. Lokesh was called as Pappu by YSRC MLA Roja who is also a film star. But Lokesh could not answer her.
Lokesh the son of Chandrababu Naidu is being ridiculed from time to time as he speaks faulty language . His facts are not right when he speaks with the public . He does not know how many constituencies are there in AP being an MLC. The people or netizens have every right to make comments on the MLAs or the MLCs. They are public servants and the people have every right to question them.
Ravi Kiran was arrested yesterday early in the morning and is in police custody . The Governments are in a position to control main stream media, but they are unable to control the Social Media. Politicians have been making complaints against social media, but no action was taken so far. But suddenly this cartoonist has been arrested by the TDP Government.
The TDP official website always carries stories and also satires against Jagan the YSRC Chief with photos, but no one from YSRC objected. But when it came to the question of Lokesh, this Ravi Kiran was arrested. Ravi runs a website called as Political punch. But the TDP Government must know that they cannot keep arresting thousands of people.
Soon after the arrest lot of postings were done against Lokesh. This is nothing but curbing freedom of expression. Thousands of cartoons and satires were published in social media against Rahul Gandhi. But Rahul never complained or got any one arrested so far. Even on demonetization satires were published in social media on Narendra Modi the PM. But no arrests were made.
This is absolutely foolish on the part of TDP Government to arrest a cartoonist who published against Lokesh.Lokesh must observe some restraint and have tolerance. Social media is now becoming 5th estate. One cannot stop it.
They must correct this mistake.
