After clamping on the drug menace now Akun Sabarwal who is the controller of Telangana State Legal Metrology has ordered that all the Multiplexes will sell all the food items and water at MRP. Whoever tries to sell them at exorbitant prices will be penalised and that the cine-goers need not pay high for these food items.
Giving huge relief to moviegoers, Telangana government has issued orders to multiplexes to sell all food items on MRP from August 1st.
He has had a meeting with the sellers and owners of the Multiplexes in Hyderabad and said that they should not sell more than the marked MRP. There was a hue and cry from the cine-goers that the theatres must allow the food from outside. But the owners said that they would not allow the outside food and containers citing the security reasons. The Maharashtra Government has decided to allow the outside food being taken by the cine-goers into the Multiplexes.
