There are a lot of expectations on the current Budget to be presented by the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharamn. The salaried class are expecting a rise in the income tax for a long time.

But the salaried class or middle class might be disappointed with the Union Budget, which Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is going to present on February 1 as the government is likely to leave income tax slabs untouched.

The Budget Session of Parliament beginning today is poised to be stormy with the Opposition set to attack the government over the three new farm legislation, amid an ongoing agitation by farmers.

The entire opposition has boycotted the speech of President Kovind as a protest against the new farm laws.

The session will begin with the address of the President to the joint sitting of the two Houses this morning followed by the presentation of the Union Budget on February 1.
