Perhaps this is the first time in the History that India is celebrating the Republic day where there is no chief Guest for the event. The PM of Britain was supposed to come to India for the event, but due to Covid conditions, he is unable to make it.
He has said sorry to the Indians. The Contingents participating in the rally have been reduced drastically due to Covid conditions. The Tractor rally on the other hand is a disturbing development here in Delhi.
The police have restricted the Tractor rally from 3 lakhs vehicles to 50 thousand vehicles, But the rally which was supposed to be in the noon has already started in the morning.
PM Modi has placed a wreath on the Martyrs Memorial and paid his respects to the veer Jawans. President Ramnath Kovind took the salute of the Parade.
Rakshan Mantri Rajnath Singh was also present.
The Parade strength was restricted in many of the states. In Hyderabad it was done at Public gardens in a limited fashion where Governor Tamilisai took the salute.
K Kesava Rao the RS member of TRS took the salute at the TRS Bhavan for the Republic day. CM KCR hoisted the flag at Pragathi Bhavan. He also joined the celebrations here at Jubilee hall with the Governor.
