Perhaps this is the first time that the leaders are rejecting the Congress tickets for the GHMC elections. There is good demand for MIM, TRS and the BJP tickets.
The TDP, Jana Sena and Congress tickets are open. There are just a few takers for these tickets. Jana Sena is planning to contest around 45 seats, but they may not win any of the seats.
Jana Sena is planning to have a tieup with BJP. Pawan Kalyan will be campaigning for the party. The TRS is planning to organise a huge public meeting on 28th and KCR is expected to address the public meeting.
KTR will be touring from 22nd in city along with Srinivas Yadav the minister for Animal Husbandry. The TRS has retained many of is old faces, but it has to decide on 38 seats. There could be some changes in the 11nth hour in these 38 seats.
Out of the 38 some of them have already been assured for the seat and they are campaigning in the divisions. The BJP is waiting for the second rung leaders and the rejected one from the TRS and the Congress.
Some Congress leaders have already joined the BJP. The TRS and the BJP leaders are confident and the other parties are not that confident. The MIM is working at the ground level and not making any hungama.
On the first day, just 20 nominations in all have been received by the returning officer. Today there could be more nominations. Only two members are allowed into the office along with the candidate for the nomination.
