It’s a festival of democracy said PM Narendra Modi. He said that the people of Gujarat are celebrating the festival of democracy that is oting with Shaan.
After voting, he visited the house of his brother which was very close to the polling booth. He spoke to the media in Hindi and also in Gujarat. The people greeted him en route where he walked for some time.
There were chantings of Modi Modi all the way. He wanted the people to vote in large numbers apart from congratulating the election commission. It was like a mini roads show for the Gujarat election by the PM on the polling day.
They are celebrating the poll day with Umang and Utsah he complimented. This is the second phase of the poll in Gujarat. He walked about three hundred meters to his brother’s house waiving to the crowds.
There is clear anti-incumbency in Gujarat but the majority of the poll surveys indicate that Modi will win the election in Gujarat. There were people with saffron pagidis coming for the voting in the line.
He talked to the staff of EC in the polling booth and refused to take any assistance from them.
