The Felicitation program for SCSC Traffic Volunteers was held & Over 100 Traffic Volunteers attended the event that was held at Cyberabad Police Commissionerate office.
Mr Ramesh Kaza, the Secretary General of SCSC said “ I am very happy that during the past quarters, Traffic volunteers have contributed more than 1300+ man days of traffic controlling efforts and even more heartening to note that more than 30% of these efforts, were contributed by women. This is a welcome trend and it gives a very positive message to society, leading to better behaviour from road users. I urge the award winners from these traffic volunteers to encourage each one to get 10 more traffic volunteers”.
Appreciating the efforts of Traffic volunteers Jt CP traffic, Mr K Narayana Naik, IPS, said “ I saw a good no. of volunteers during rains, blazing sun and their commitment towards the cause is highly commendable”.
Traffic forum leader, Mr Sriniwas said “ we can see more and more volunteers are joining the SCSC traffic volunteering force and this time among the award winners from traffic volunteers, I could spot senior citizens and this is very good sign that the traffic volunteers are from different age groups as well, apart from women”.
Volunteers were felicitated for their commendable effort put in during the period of Dec 2022 to May 2023. The Recognition awards were presented by the Joint Commissioner of Police Traffic Cyberabad Sri. K. Narayan Naik, IPS, Adl. Dy. Commissioner of Police Traffic Cyberabad, Sri. P. Sreenivas Reddy and Mr. Ramesh Kaza, Secretary General of SCSC, Mr. Sriniwas CR , Joint Secretary, Traffic Forum, SCSC.
