The disgruntled elements from TRS and Congress are expected to join the BJP. Kishan Reddy on the other hand is a close person to Modi, Amit Shah, Venkaiah and also Bandaru Dattatreya.
What if Etela is announced to the post of CM has to be seen in the near future.
The BJP has done well in a few recent elections including the by-elections of the Huzurabad and Dubbaka constituency and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, where it won 48 seats.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, the BJP won four Lok Sabha seats in Telangana.
The BJP’s national executive meeting is being held in Hyderabad at a time when the party is trying to make further inroads in the state, whereas the K Chandrashekar Rao-led ruling TRS is working to cobble an alliance to challenge the saffron party at the national level.
But how far all this is going to convert into votes has to be seen. Will the BJP come to power or will end up at the border is the question.
