Majority of the IT employees that too young employees who have just joined or completed six months of services with Google, Amazon and some others are becoming sick. Both physically and mentally. Getting a job is one aspect, surviving in the job is the other aspect.

Getting transport on daily basis is a big issue. At Amazon you have call your cab and driver on daily basis and then go to the office. If you miss it you cannot go to office which is far off.

They take you then throw you out after the peak period. An employee has to stick to his mouse and report even if you are going for a nature call. If you are chummy with your HR you can survive, otherwise you are shunted out.

If google provides food, it pays very less to the employees who have completed B tech. It is around Rs 12000 and you cannot expect any hike. If you are at Amazon there is no food. The food in canteens is very coslty and you are paid less like any other IT company in Hyderabad.

You have to work during nights mostly and forced to sleep in the morning time. Obvioulsly your health is in for trouble.

According to clinical data available with the experts of the cases of depression., out of 10 corporate employees surveyed across Hyderabad, five have suffered from depression.

The survey revealed that 38.5 percent of the corporate employees sleeps less than six hours in a day due to high-stress level, tough targets set by employers leading to neurotic denial causing depression.

Medical Experts say that to beat the stress and ensure core strengthening it is important to exercise. But 57 percent of the employees says they do not exercise at all due to the lack of time.

Incidentally, depression is more found in the productive age-group i.e., 55 percent fall in the age group of 20 to 29 years, 26 percent in 30 to 39 years, 16 percent in 40 to 49 years, 2 percent in 50 to 59 years and 1 percent in 60 to 69 years.

This is a serious problem which should be addressed immediately. But due to lack of proper awareness and knowledge, only one in four people come out and seek help at the early stages and the others come when things are severe or after a suicide attempt.

The ladies have different issues. They are harassed, but they are forced to continue with mental tension as they come from other places and stay here in hostels. They cannot go back. Here the HR and the team leaders some time exploit them. Either you bend or lose the job.

The Telangana Government under the dynamic leadership of IT Minister KT Rama Rao should come up with a policy for the working conditions and payments for Hyderabad IT companies especially the MNCs.

Otherwise the exploitation will go on.
