The Chief Election Commissioner has received the report sent by the Telangana CEO and it is reported that another team from Delhi would come and finalise the schedule of elections for the Telangana State.
More or less the election commission is for conducting elections to the 5 states at one time. There was a talk that the elections for Telangana would be held in advance as it is running on a caretaker Chief Minister. But taking the logistics and other arrangements into account, it is reported that the CEC has thought it fit to conduct the elections under one year one election scheme.
The Telangana Chief Electoral officer on his part is doing all out arrangements for the conduct of elections. The review and updating of the electoral list have been done and it is closed on September 25. Now a final list has to be published for the proposed elections which could be in November or December 2018.
The elections are being held as per the predictions of Telangana CM KCR. The TRS is already on the upbeat mood with the campaigning and announcement of the first list of the candidates. The opposition led by the Congress is groping the dark and nothing seems to be working for them. The Congress wants to contest the majority of the seats and all other parties are in agreement with the Congress leaders.
There is a lot of internal bickering in the Congress itself. The BJP is not having candidates and it is waiting for things to happen.
Taking all this into consideration people are ready to give one more chance to the TRS and the leadership of KCR.
