Election Commission Prohibit Exit Polls Till May 19

The Exit polls were imposed on May 23 after the election results were released. It is clear that there will be restrictions on the publication of the majority of the seats in the party till May 19. Journalists, News Channels and Exit polls should not announce the results. The first phase of the polls were ended on April 11 and proposals will be enforced till the last 19th.

AP EC Gopalakrishna Dwivedi said that the proposal has been sent to the Central Election Commission to conduct re-polling for several seats in the AP. There are proposals for re-polling at polling booths in the number 94 in Narasaraopeta constituency in the 244 number polling station in Guntur West constituency. They were sent to the Central Election Commission.

In the Telugu states, the EVMs were kept in the Strong Room till the counting of votes on May 23. The CRPF armed forces and Armed Reserve staff have provided security arrangements. Officials have made it clear that no one is permitted into the strong rooms that have secured EVM  without permission.
