The state government tried to save the faces of the Tollywood film stars in the drugs case. Akun Sabharwal who enquired into the drugs case of the celebrities was shifted and posted to Delhi.
But the ED is now looking into the case. They want to take it to a logical conclusion. Earlier there was a verdict that there was no proof against these film stars.
But now the state has provided the call data and other digital evidence to the central Government and also the ED Rakul Preet Singh, Rana Daggubati, Ravi Teja, Charmee Kaur, Navdeep, Mumaith Khan, Tanish, Nandu, Namratha Mahesh, Tarun, film director Puri Jagannadh, art director Chinna were earlier questioned by the ED in connection with the case. It has to be seen if anyone would be caught in the case and get sentenced.
The list is very long and the messages from the drug peddler Kelvin are evident in the WhatsApp chats. It has to be seen how far the ED will be in a position to track the money laundering in this episode.
There was talk about one of the big heroes of the Industry who is the son of a mega-producer. But he was shielded at the right time.
We have to see how far the ED will be able to establish the case on the film stars.
