The ECar Racing started on the shores of Hussain Sagar in Hyderabad with all Hungama. Power cars raced here on a specially arranged race track.
Telangana Minister KTR and his son Himanshu also came for this racing. They watched the race with great interest.
KTRs son Himanshu was seen having chudwa Palli with his friends during the car race.
KTR was seen wishing the son of Vishweshwar Reddy the BJP leader who was in the race.
Meanwhile, a minor mishap took place during the race. The gallery set up next to the IMAX collapsed. KTR and Himanshu were there at that time.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief as no one was hurt. A tree fell on the racing car and car was forced to stop on one side of the road.
A huge crowd gathered here at necklace road to witness the car racing. There will be trials this evening also at the Tankbund. This resulted in huge traffic snarls in the area of Himayath nagar and Domalguda.
The first qualifying round was held here from 3.10 pm to 3.20 pm. The second qualifying round was held from 3.30 pm to 3.40 pm. The main race was held from 4 pm to 4.45 pm with those who achieved better timing in these two rounds.
24 prominent racers participated in this race. They competed for 6 major cities. While Formula-E car racing will be held in Hyderabad on February 11 next year, the Indian Racing Circuit competition was held today as a trial run for the competition.
