It looks like the New Year celebrations are not yet over for the people of Cyberabad. As many as 3571 cases of Drunken driving were registered since last one week in Cyberabad.
With the objective of curbing the drunk driving and improving road safety, the drive against drunken driving is continued across Cyberabad for the 7th consecutive day.
On the intervening night of 03.01.21 and 04.01.21, as many as 346 persons were booked for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Most of these offenders are of the age group of 26-45 years. Also, most of them were two-wheeler drivers.
This drive will continue until the menace of drunk driving is curbed totally in Cyberabad. In the span of one week, as many as 3571 DD cases have been booked in Cyberabad.
The cases of drunken driving in the 4 wheeler category has come down drastically. The same in the wheeler category is on the rise. The sale of liquor is being encouraged in the state one side and the cases of drunken driving are going up on the other side.
Liquor sale is one of the major sources of income for the exchequer in the state.
