What a dream start it was for Kolkotta Knight Riders as they pulverized the mediocre Gujrat Lions attack to score a record ten wicket win at Rajkot.
Chris Lyn who hardly got chances when he played for Sunrises Hyderabad was promoted by Gautam Ghambir and it really paid rich dividends. The Australian was in awesome form, just toying with the Lions attack.
The big target they chased was infact a t-20 world record.
More importantly Ghambir and Lyn rotated the strike brilliantly and hammered the lose balls to the fence.
Lyn’s unbeaten 93 was studded with eight sixers and six boundaries, while Ghambir hit a dozen fours.
Earlier Suresh Raina made 68 not out and Dinesh Kartik chipped in with a quickfire 47 as the Lions put up a huge total of 183for four.
Kuldip Yadav who recently made a test debut for India and Piyush Chawla bowled good spells.
In today’s matches the injury hit teams Royal challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils will face each other at Bangalore and Pune Supergaints who were off to a great start will meet Kings XI Punjab at Indore in the other encounter. Hope we will have big scoring matches at both the venues.
