Some producers say that Budget is not a constraint. Some others do not have any control over the budget and they lose in the process. But Dil Raju is one man who will not allow the directors to talk and decide on the Budget. He decides what to spend where and how to spend.
He wants a complete bound script and if he decides on it, he will spend wherever it is really required.
The other day Boyapati pitched a story to Dil Raju and insisted that he must have so much of budget. Dil told him not to talk about the budget. He wanted a good script first. If the script is agreed upon he will no go back in investing even 10 crore to 100 crore. Budget is not a constraint, but it all depends on the script and the commercial value of the same.
Not only budget but also Dil Raju controls the direction also. He is more or less like the movie Moghul Ramanaidu. Ramanaidu always had control over the budget and he used to stand behind the director while the direction was going on.
In the same fashion Dil Raju and his friends control every aspect of the film making. They also reshoot and redo it, in case it is not perfect.
There is an example where they reshot Mr perfect movie for Prabhas as Prabhas was unhappy with the outcome.
For Dil Raju budget is not the criteria, it all depends on the requirement and commercial range of the story.
