Donot allow illegal activities in farmhouses, resorts and service apartments

In the wake of the several recent cases, frequent complaints being reported from public on sound pollution, parking congestion, misbehaviour by drunken people coming out of resorts, farmhouses, service apartments and on reports of usage of drugs , Deputy Commissioner of Police, Madhapur SmtK.Shilpavalli held a meeting with the owners of farmhouses, resorts, service apartments.

DCP stated that “due to the efforts of the State Government,Hyderabad city has become a favourite destination for investors not just form India but from all over the world due to the ease of doing business and infrastructure in Telangana bolstered by the excellent law and order conditions in Hyderabad. So, we expect you to run business in a responsible manner and uphold the reputation of the city and state which is getting compromised by just a few who are violating norms for petty gains. Please ensure all laws are abided by.” he appealed.

The DCP appraised all the attendees about prevailing norms laid down in the city police act and that the businesses have to be conducted within the framework of the act and that police will be very strict in the duty assigned to it by the Law.

They were also instructed to take appropriate permissions from police and excise departments to conduct any activity, not to allow under aged persons, and to restrict the sound levels. The managements were also asked to install CCTVs with 30 days backup & dedicated team to monitor,sound proofing the premises, engaging valet drivers, frisking staff, customers etc., City Police made it clear that stringent action will be initiated on erring managements who resort to illegal activities.

DCP stressed that the premises should not be lent for illegal activities like gaming, prostitution, drug use, betting, etc. Information about foreign nationals who take the premises on rent has to be furnished as per the Foreigners Act and they should be wary that their premises can be seized under Immoral Trafficking Prevention Act if any such illegal activity is permitted. Under section 25 of NDPS Act, the owners of the premises who let them use for any illegal activity under the act shall as liable as the commission of such offences.
