Soundarya is getting divorced. The news is confirmed. She is the daughter of Super star Rajinikanth.
Rumours had begun floating around regarding apparent distress in Soundarya Rajinikanth’s marriage. People had been speculating that the youngest daughter of superstar Rajinikanth and husband Ashwin Ramkumar were headed for splitsville.
Giving credence to the story, Soundarya took to twitter to announce the same and urged everyone to give her the privacy she deserves.
Soundarya and Ashwin had got married in 2010, and have a one-year-old son.
Soundarya, a graphic designer by profession, has worked on films like ‘Baba,’ ‘Sandakozhi,’ and ‘Sivaji’ amongst others. She is also the founder of Ocher Pictures.
Soundarya had also directed India’s first motion capture 3D film ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ starring Rajini.
Rajini is currently filming ‘2.0,’ sequel to Shankar’s hit ‘Robot,’ co-starring Akshay Kumar. There is no word from Rajini regarding the divorce.
As far as Soundarya is concerned she confirmed the news but chose to keep it private and did not like to comment further over the matter.
She has confirmed the news via twitter.Even Dhanush is staying out of this matter it is reported.
Soundarya married Ashwin Ramkumar, an industrialist, in 2010. They also have a child who was born recently.Soundarya is known for directing India’s first motion capture animated film “Kochadaiyaan”, featuring her father.
In 2013, at the audio launch of “Kochadaiyaan”, Rajini publicly wished for his daughter Soundarya to settle down with a family and chase her filmmaking dream subsequently.
Rajinikanth already has two grandsons, Yatra and Linga, from his second daughter Aishwarya, who is married to popular actor Dhanush.
