Disha act has been passed to bring in speedy justice said Jaganmohan Reddy the CM of AP. Today he has started the first Disha police station. Jaganmohan said that if the hero guns down the rapists in the movie the people will hail it but the law and justice will not agree with it he said.
The rapists in the Nirbhaya case have not been hanged so far. They are moving from court to court even after the verdict he said.
Cases with conclusive evidence will be completed soon and the rapists will be hanged on a fast track basis the CM assured. If we do not do the justice at the earliest the people will not have faith in the Judiciary he opined.
The Disha bill is awaiting the concurrence from the President of India he explained. The Disha bill has been passed in the Assembly and sent to the central Home Ministry for the approval.
13 special courts and special prosecutors will be appointed apart from the sanction of the funds he said. Now there are dedicated police stations for resolving the issues of the women he said.
13 districts will have 18 Disha police stations he explained. Majority of the women police stations will be there he said. Forensic labs will also be increased he said. Disha call centre and App were also launched by the CM .
