The days have changed . Top Directors are becoming producers. Finally we have to make success movie and get the money. Now ManiRatnam being a great director hs offered his movie to another director in Hindi and is in role of a producer for Ok Jaanu. Even Karan Johar is doing the same.
Now with Ok Jaanu Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor are all set to entertain audience with their film. This Shaad Ali directorial is a remake of Tamil romantic drama O Kandhal Kanmani (2015) which was directed by Mani Ratnam. The same was dubbed in Telugu as OK Bangaram and distributed by Dil Raju was a big hit.
Shraddha and Aditya’s natural chemistry helps with the young, sweet romance in Ok Jaanu. Naseer’ character adds a special, intriguing angle to the narrative.
With AR Rahman composing the music for the film, Ok Jaanu is already a chartbuster album with Humma Humma and Enna Sona.
The film is a refreshing take on contemporary romance and relationship with the lead pair in a live-in relationship.Aditya, who has mostly played a hopeless and passionate lover boy in movies like Aashiqui 2, Dawaat-e-ishq and Fitoor, Ok Jaanu aims to bring his comical side to the fore. The film also stars Naseeruddin Shah and Leela Samson in pivotal roles.
Mani Ratnam’s original received wide critical acclaim, but will Shaad Ali live up to Ratnam’s standards is the question. In Telugu and other languges the Music was different , the taking was different and people liked it.
