Dil Raju the mega-producer is the man who is calling shots now in the film industry in Tollywood. He was the man who pushed the producers to close the shootings.
But the senior producer is destroying the name and credibility he earned over the years. It was Dil Raju who took the initiation in Guild to go on a strike. He pushed the reluctant film chamber to support Guild’s decision.
Some say that it is to avoid the wage revision to the film workers that the shootings have been closed. Now he is thinking of splitting the payments in the name of small budget movies and big budget movies.
The worker’s payment will be classified according to the investment and budget of the producers it is learnt.
When others are not shooting in the name of unity, Raju’s film Varasudu is shooting in Vishakapatnam saying that it is a Tamil movie even though it has been announced as a bilingual.
This is not the only incident bringing disdain to Dil Raju’s credibility. Dil Raju is hit by back-to-back failures. But the flops are not the only reason for this.
Dil Raju has been doing multiple flip-flops about the ticket prices in the case of F3 and Thankyou.
He is one of the first producers to have opted for direct OTT release during the Pandemic with his ‘V’. For F3, he took credit for delaying the OTT release until after eight weeks.
The business of convenience is bringing bad reputation to Dil Raju’s hard-earned credibility and is being branded as a pucca opportunist.
