The Telangana Government is contemplating providing digital cards to the citizens with multipurpose usage.
“The family digital card should allow beneficiaries to access ration and health services seamlessly, regardless of their location.Additionally, it should incorporate each family member’s health profile to ensure better future medical services,” the Chief Ministersaid.
CM Revanth Reddy suggested that these digital cards must be flexible, allowing families to update their details—such as adding or removing names of members—on a regular basis. He called for establishing district-level systems to monitor the performance and effectiveness of the digital card programme. The aim is to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries can access welfare schemes without any hurdles.
The comprehensive family digital card project is expected to significantly enhance the delivery of services in Telangana, providing citizens with easy access to essential welfare schemes and health services under a unified system.
