Cyberabad Police in association with Cyberabad Security Council & volunteers from various NGO’s is successfully coordinating with COVID Warriors in donating Plasma to the critically ill COVID 19 patients.
Police Officials along with 60 volunteers are working on catering to the need of plasma requirements which has been coming to Cyberabad police.
VC Sajjanar, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad said, “It’s heartwarming to see such youngsters standing together to fight the pandemic. The second wave of COVID 19 has been dangerous and it’s important that all of us should follow Covid precautions to arrest the spread of the virus.”
CP VC Sajjanar, IPS., thanked all the stakeholders especially Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) General Secretary Sri Krishna Yedula, ACP Hanumanth Rao, Plasma Volunteers, Volunteers of SCSC, Robinhood Army, Akshaya Patra, Youngistan foundation, I Focus, I Foundation, Vandemataram youth, Students of St. Joseph college & Koti Women’s college, Youth for Seva, Safa Batul Maal for successful ensuring the Plasma Donation Drive.
Adding further he said, “We have a dedicated control room which has been set up and works 24/7 by Cyberabad police for Plasma donation. In the first wave 6000 plasma donors have donated to 10000 beneficiaries and this year in the Second wave we have donated 1400 units and 2400 are beneficiaries.
I request the public who have recovered from COVID 19 to come forward and donate plasma in large numbers.” Apart from plasma requests, we are getting requests for blood donation, platelets also CP said.
Like in the past, SCSC is also deploying volunteers at Hospitals for on-site coordination with Hospital blood bank staff and Donors for ease of the process.
