Dharani for ease of doing registrations and Transparency

Vemula Prashanth Reddy,Minister for R&B and the Chairman of Cabinet Sub-Committee on “Registration of Non-Agricultural Properties” inaugurated the Workshop on registration of non-agriculturallands. He explained the objectives behind the reforms in registration services. He assured the participants that these reforms will enhance the ease of registrations process, bring more transparency, user friendliness while eliminating discretionary powers of the officers. He informed that the Hon’ble Chief Minister always strives to use advanced technologies for the betterment of public services.

G.T. Venkateswara Rao, MD, TSTSL made a presentation on the salient features of the Slot-booking module from the citizen’s end. He informed that the feedback received in the last 4 days from various stake holders was studied and the modules were suitably modified.

Somesh Kumar, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Telangana interacted with the participants. The Chief Secretary said that these initiatives in the registration process are path breaking and first of their kind in the country. The objective is to make the system
simpler, and corruption free. He stated that the Government is committed to provide a high degree of quality services to all stake holders.

He further informed that there is a huge positive response from the public on these changes as they would be able to calculate the value of the property and pay the duties on their own without depending on middlemen. He made it clear that the Government is taking all the possible precautions to secure the digitalized data by following the best practices of the IT industry. He lauded the relentless efforts put in by the Officers and Software development teams for the last 4 months.

He assured that whenever any feedback for improvement is received, the same will be analyzed and implemented on war footing.

The representatives of CREDAI, TREDA, Builders Forum and other real estate industry bodies participated in the workshop. They welcomed the changes in the registration process and informed that these changes would result in ease of doing business in the realty sector. They hailed the system as the best in the country and that all these changes will give impetus to the real estate activity in the State and that there will be significant growth in the GDP and employment in the coming days in Telangana. While assuring the
Government of their fullest support for the changes, they made some constructive suggestions for further improvement of the services.

During the interactions, the participants from the real estate sector raised some issues faced by them in using the recently commenced services for allotment of tPIN. Most of these issues were  addressed and resolved on the spot. The participants were extremely
happy with the lightning speed at which their problems were resolved and expressed their gratitude to the Chief Secretary and the team of officers.

Members of the Cabinet Sub-Committee Sri Md. Mahmood Ali, Hon’ble Minister for Home, Prisons and Fire Services and Sri Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Hon’ble Minister for Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Dairy Development and Cinematography graced the occasion.
