A moment of immense pride for Telangana, Rajendranagar Police Station has been declared as the best-performing police station in the country for the year 2023.
The announcement is made by the Union Home Ministry at the ongoing conference of Director Generals of Police
(DGsP) in Jaipur today.
Inspector B. Nagendrababu of Rajendranagar Police Station received the prestigious trophy from Union Home Minister Amit Shah, recognizing the station's outstanding performance in various areas. This is a truly remarkable achievement, considering the competition from over 17,000 police stations across India.
The Union Home Ministry bases these awards on a comprehensive set of criteria, including crime detection rates, investigation quality, community engagement, infrastructure maintenance, and adherence to human rights guidelines.
This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the entire team at Rajendranagar Police Station," said Telangana DGP Ravigupta, who congratulated Inspector Nagendrababu on receiving the top honor. "Their commitment to serving the community and upholding the law is an inspiration to all.
The selection process involved rigorous evaluation through the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS), with 75 stations shortlisted out of thousands before Rajendranagar emerged as the national champion.
This recognition not only brings immense pride to Telangana but also sets a benchmark for police stations across the country. The story of Rajendranagar serves as a shining example of how effective policing can make a tangible difference in the lives of citizens.
