It looks like the Deomacratic candidate Clinton is inching towards victory in a study fashion. Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee, has a six-point lead over her Republican rival Donald Trump, according to a latest Fox News poll which comes just three weeks before the general election.

A week ago, Clinton was leading with seven points. In the latest weekly poll, Fox News said Clinton has a six-point lead over Trump(45-39 per cent).Libertarian Gary Johnson stands at 5 per cent and Green Party’s Jill Stein at three per cent.

In the head-to-head matchup, Clinton (49 percent) is leading with seven points over Trump (42 percent).

Clinton’s lead is beyond the poll’s margin of error, the news channel said. The poll, conducted from Saturday to Monday, reflects the large gender gap. While Trump leads likely among men by seven points, he trails Clinton by 17 points among women.According to RealClearPolitics, which keeps track of all major polls, Clinton leads Trump by 6.9 per cent points.

More than half of respondents in a new poll said they plan to vote for Hillary Clinton — the first time the Democratic presidential candidate has breached that all-important 50 percent threshold.

The poll released on Thursday by Quinnipiac University found the former secretary of state leading Trump 51 to 41 percent in a head to head race.

“We are starting to hear the faint rumblings of a Hillary Clinton landslide as her 10-point lead is further proof that Donald Trump is in a downward spiral as the clock ticks,” said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.

Support for Clinton falls below 50 percent if third-party candidates are thrown into the equation.
The former first lady gets 45 percent, with Trump polling 38 percent, when Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson and Green Party contender Jill Stein are added to the mix.
