Royal Enfield the makers of bullet cycle motors has earmarked a sum of Rs 800 crore for expansion. Some expansion of the old plant and a new factory in Chennai is coming up it is reported.

The Vallam Vadagal plant would be set up in Tamilnadu in the year 2018-19. Siddartha Lal the CEO of Eischer motors said that the demand is more than the existing capacity and that the bullets have now become a rage in the country.

Even in Telugu states of AP and Telangana the bullets are sold in large numbers. The reason behind this is that Vijay Devarkonda the hero of Arjun Reddy moves around on the Royal Enfield bullet from time to time. From then on youth have started emulating Vijay by riding the bullet motorcycles.

Demand for Royal Enfield grows

The company is planning to produce around 10 lakh vehicles per annum after the expansion. This will cater to the overseas market also. Subsidiaries will come up in Thailand and Indonesia also.
