Around 5 lakh and fifty one thousand diyas or lamps were lit on the banks of Sarayu river near the Ram Temple site at Ayodhya. CM Yogi Adityanath was present here asthe chief Guest on the occasion.
Lighting diyas was done as part of Diwali. The work for Ramlalla Mandir has already started. The lighting of so many lakhs of Diayas is a guinness book of world records.
Last year also the Diyas were lighted under the leadership of Yogi here at the Sarayu river. It may be recalled that the PM Modi has given a call to light diyas and not burst the crackers.
Several states have banned the bursting of crackers to avoid noise and air pollution. Ayodhya was decorated with lights for Diwali in a big way.
The PM on the other hand has also suggested thepeople light daisy for the sake of soldiers.
