Daughter of a beedi worker, Harika to become a doctor

Harika, a young girl whose mother is a beedi worker secured an MBBS seat by taking classes via YouTube videos. After having lost her father as a child, Harika secured a 40,000 position at the All India level in this year’s NEET exam and her rank at the state level was 700.

MLC and Former Member of Parliament Kavitha who is known for her grit towards strengthening and supporting the dreams and hopes of people met Harika and her mother Anuradha who hails from Nizamabad. Daughter of Telangana CM K. Chandrashekhar Rao, MLC Kavitha extended her support and handed over the cheque for the first instalment of Harika’s fees for medical college. K. Kavitha also pledged to bear the cost fees.

MLC Kavitha earlier today, while tweeting shared the news of supporting Harika and her dreams with a motivational message. She tweeted “Dare to dream and then never stop working until you achieve them.This is the story of Harika, who passed and excelled in the MBBS exams via YouTube videos. Former Member of Parliament Kalvakuntla Kavitha has actively supported noble causes that have had to empower impact on the beneficiaries from supporting migrant workers during the Covid lockdown, to migrants stuck in abroad and many young voices. Harika who cleared her NEET Exam without any coaching classes and only via lessons available on YouTube inspired many young people in Telangana and India. MLC Kavitha met Harika and her mother Anuradha who is a beedi worker at her office and pledged her support towards Harika’s big dreams..
