Today., 05.11.2021 Cyber Crimes review meeting was held by the Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, Stephen Raveendra, IPS., with Cyber crimes officials at Cyberabad CP Office.
Cyberabad CP Said a robust mechanism is needed to monitor Cyber Crimes being reported in Cyberabad Unit. He reiterated that in coming years most of the offences will have Cyber Space as a medium or a target requiring every Police officer to be well equipped with all skills required to detect these cases.
The main aim of CCPS must be Investigation and Conviction. For this need to analyze the cases based on Common Modi Operandi and work on detecting and expeditiously investigating the cases.
The Investigation Operations Center shall Analyze the Cyber Crimes and provide inputs to IO s for better detection.
Investigation Support Center shall guide CYBER STAFF of L&O PS s of Cyberabad Unit in following the SOP s and detecting the Crimes.
Weekly VC of L&O Cyber staff shall be conducted to monitor the progress in their cases. It will be conducted by Investigation Support Centre and driven by DCP Cyber Crimes.
CP has stressed on the need for Consistent and Continuous Efforts by every IO for curbing Cyber crimes and creating a fear among the Cyber Offenders.
Good conviction rate can be ensured with improvement in quality of charge.
CP has expressed his concern towards the ever increasing pace of Cybercrimes and has instructed the Cyber Crimes staff to delve deep into these cases for better understanding and handling them better.
Rewards were given to Insp Srinivas and his team for arresting 10 accused in Delhi (SBI KYC fraud) (10 cases of Cyberabad are solved)and 10 accused in RBL credit card cases(35 cases of Cyberabad are solved) fraud cases. These arrests were made in last week.
