Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar will approach Supreme Cout to continue as the CS in Telangana. Actually he belongs to AP cadre and was given the AP cadre when the state was divided.
But he got Telangana Cadre as the CS. Now the Court said that he cannot continue as the CS in Telangana. Somesh is close to KCR and has done well as the CS.
Earlier he was GHMC chief in Hyderabad. People say that he was a blue-eyed boy for KCR and continues to be loyal.
Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan has allowed a writ petition filed by the Centre’s Department of Personnel and Training challenging the Central Administrative Tribunal-Hyderabad order allocating senior IAS officer Somesh Kumar to Telangana in 2016.
The CAT order dated March 29, 2016 allocating Somesh Kumar, currently, the Telangana Chief Secretary was quashed by a division bench comprising Chief Justice Bhuyan and Justice S Nanda.
