CS Somesh inspects revival of Medical Oxygen plant

Chief Secretary Sri Somesh Kumar, IAS has inspected the revival works of Medical Oxygen plant taken up by Greenco company at Pashamylaram industrial estate in Sangareddy District today.

As per the directions of the Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri K.Chandrashekar Rao to make the state self sufficient in medical Oxygen production, steps have been taken by the Government to identify defunct medical oxygen units in various parts of the state and revive them. As part of Oxygen augmentation process this abandoned unit was handed over to Greenco company which made it functional with in a record period of one month, with the co-ordination and technical support given by TSIIC.

The revived unit will produce 40 MTs of medical oxygen per day which will add to our present production capacity. The unit has started producing medical oxygen and will start supply to the hospitals in a couple of days.

Chief Secretary appreciated Sri Anil, Chairman of Greenco company for the efforts put in to revive the plant in a short period by importing machinery from Belgium and other countries.

Sri Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, I.T & Industries, Sri Narsimha Reddy, MD, TSIIC, Sri K Shyamsundar, Chief Engineer, TSIIC, Sri Anil, Chairman, Greenco were present.
