CS Santhi reviews development programs

Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari held a Video Conference with District Collectors and reviewed the progress achieved in Kanti Velugu, Aarogya Mahila, House Sites to the poor, 2BHK houses and implementation of GO 58, 59,76 and 118. With more than 96 lakhs people having undergone eye testing in the last 47 days, Chief Secretary complimented the Collectors for this achievement and hoped that the state will create a new record of two crore eye testing in the next 50 days of the programme.

She wanted the collectors to continue the good work and regularly inspect the Kanti Velugu camps so as to ensure that the beneficiaries are satisfied with the service provided at the camps.

Chief Secretary also exhorted the Collectors to take up the Aarogya Mahila programme more as a social responsibility to improve the health of the women. The objective should be to ensure that those women who deserve the service should be provided. She also asked the Collectors to work on how to nurture the programme and also expanding the programme while improving the delivery mechanism.

Chief Secretary noted that with the government extending the time for regularisation under GO 58 and 59 by one more month starting today and also extending the cut off date from June 2 2014 to June 2nd 2020, many applicants are likely to apply. She asked the collectors to create awareness among the public so that maximum number of people, including those who missed earlier would avail this opportunity.

She also wanted the Collectors to review those applications which were rejected last time. Chief Secretary directed that all the applications pending with regard to GO 58,59, 76 and 118 are completed at the earliest.

Principal Secretary Revenue Navin Mittal, Secretary HM&FW SAM Rizvi, Secretary TR&B Sreenivasa Raju, Secretary SCDD Rahul Bojja, Commissioner SCDD Yogitha Rana, Commissioner HM&FW Swetha Mohanty, CDMA Satyanarayana, Special Officer CCLA Satyasaradha participated in the Video Conference.
